Greenwood, Ind. – Angelo State softball junior outfielder Tatiana Trotter was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American Third Team, the organization announced late this morning.
Trotter, an Intelligence and Analysis student from Lubbock, earns the first All-American honor of her career; this marks the 60th Academic All-American honor for an Angelo State student-athlete since the department's first in 1983.
For the past two seasons, Trotter has been a mainstay in the outfield and the heart of the Rambelles' lineup. She was an All-LSC First Team selection and earned a Golden Glove in 2025 after being named a second-team all-conference selection in 2024.
Trotter, an all-region selection for the past two seasons, hit .330 with a .648 slugging percentage and a .449 on-base percentage. She hit 14 home runs and drove in 47 runs. She ranked second in walks and slugging percentage and was tied for the team lead in home runs. Trotter, who entered the regional final hitting 2-for-14 in postseason play, went 3-for-3 with a two-run home run in the Rambelles' run-rule win over West Texas A&M to force a winner-take-all game.
Trotter is the third Angelo State student-athlete to earn Academic All-American honors this year, joining volleyball's Adeline Ortman and women's tennis' Eva Schwartz. ASU's three academic All-Americans are the most for the department in a single year since 2012.
This is the ninth time Rambelles Softball has had an academic All-American selection, and Trotter is the seventh different Rambelle to be named an academic All-American.
