SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A crash that occurred near the Walmart Supercenter on South Bryant Boulevard blocked traffic and destroyed a light pole during the afternoon of Thursday, March 28.
According to a San Angelo Police Department officer at the scene, the incident occurred after a white Ford F-250 truck towing a flatbed trailer carrying a spool of polyethylene pipe and a boring machine began swerving due to the weight distribution of its cargo. The vehicle left the roadway on its west side and struck a light pole.
Our reporter at the scene observed that traffic was blocked in the right two lanes of southbound Bryant Boulevard and that a live electrical wire was on the ground as a result of the collision.
No one was injured during the crash, including the two occupants of the involved truck. The driver of the vehicle was cited for failure to control speed and for having an unsecured load.
