TEMPE, Ariz.—The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released its Division II rankings. The Angelo State women's tennis team is now ranked 12th in the national rankings, up from 18th last week.
After starting her Collegiate career 10-2, Margaux Rene is ranked 33rd in this week's singles rankings. Rene defeated Amelie Gindl 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 for her first win against a ranked opponent. Gindl was sixth in the nation at the time of the match. Rene recorded her second win against a ranked opponent when she defeated the 75th-ranked singles player Jessica Bohnert 6-0, 6-2.
The pairing of Avery Durham and Eva Schwartz is currently ranked 9th in the doubles rankings after starting the season 7-1 in doubles play
