LAST TIME OUT

The Rambelles swept Western New Mexico and Eastern New Mexico to open West Division play, defeating the Mustangs 6-0 and 6-5. Game two saw the Rambelles score five runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to overturn a 5-1 deficit, walking off the Mustangs on a Zoey De Baca squeeze bunt. The Rambelles run-ruled Eastern New Mexico 10-1 in five innings to open the doubleheader against the Greyhounds; game two saw the Rambelles win 3-2, courtesy of a Laylonna Applin walk-off double to right center field. 

RAMBELLES RANKED NO. 4

The Rambelles are ranked fourth in the latest version of the NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, marking their fourth consecutive week in the fourth spot. The Rambelles are in the nation's top ten for the first time since the 2022 season and are in the top five for the first time since the beginning of the 2021 season. 

SUCHER NAMED FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

Pitcher Raegan Sucher was named the LSC Freshman of the Week for her performance in the circle this past weekend. She threw 3.1 perfect innings across three appearances, combining with Cheyenne Floyd for the shutout in game one of the weekend before claiming the win in game two. She has a 1.31 ERA and an opponent batting average of .220 this season. 

FLOYD RECORDS

Senior pitcher Cheyenne Floyd continues to put her name all over the career record book at Angelo State. The senior is second in program history in career ERA (1.95) and has the best mark in opponent batting average (.201). Her 367 strikeouts for the Blue and Gold are third all-time; she sits 19 back of tying Angelo State Hall of Famer Claudia Lopez for second all-time in program history. Her seven shutouts are tied for ninth in program history. 

SCOTT CLOSES IN ON 1K CAREER WINS

Head coach Travis Scott is closing in on 1,000 career wins. He currently sits on 998 career wins. He is seventh among all Division II coaches in wins and 15th in winning percentage. He is 22nd among all coaches across all three divisions in wins. He won his first 101 games at Southeastern Oklahoma before winning the following 897 wins at the helm of the Rambelles softball program.

• Angelo State is 26-4 on the season and 17-3 in conference play; the Rambelles are 5-3 on the road this season. 
• The Rambelles hit .300 as a team with a .491 slugging and a .417 on-base percentage. The Rambelles average 5.7 runs per game. 
• Four Rambelles are hitting above .300 this season, led by Laylonna Applin's .478 batting average. Applin also leads the team in doubles, triples, home runs, RBI, and slugging percentage.

• Averie Gunther has been hit by nine pitches this season, the most in the LSC, and tied for eighth in the country. The Rambelles are seventh in the country with 27 hits by pitches this season. 
• The Rambelles' pitching staff has a 1.88 ERA and 150 strikeouts in 193.2 innings. They have only allowed 159 hits, and their opponent's batting average is .224. 
• Cheyenne Floyd is 14-2 with a save and a 1.34 ERA; she has 86 strikeouts in 78.1 innings. Opponents are hitting .156 against Floyd this season. 
• Floyd is tied for third in the country with 14 wins this season.
• Amelia Hatthorn is 7-1 with a 2.12 ERA in 62.2 innings. She has 39 strikeouts and has bested her win total from last season. 
• Matie Wolkow is 3-1 with three saves, matching her win total from 2024. She is two behind the all-time school record of ten saves. 
• The Rambelles' 1.88 ERA is 13th in the country, and their 12 double plays are 18th. 
• The Rambelles' .974 fielding percentage is the second-best in the LSC.
• Abby Brand has thrown out eight potential base stealers, the most in the conference.
