Description

ORLANDO, FL - The Angelo State women's tennis team extended their win streak to 12 matches in a row after defeating Lewis, 5-2 Monday afternoon at the USTA Tennis Complex.

With the victory, the Rambelles improve their record to 12-0, extending their program record.

The Belles would claim the first doubles match due to the Flyers not having enough players to form three doubles teams.

Eva Schwartz and Avery Durham would claim the doubles point for the Rambelles after defeating Jordane Dookie and Sofia Vdovychenko 6-4 to give the Rambelles an early 1-0 advantage.

Lewis would gain some momentum going into singles play after Benedetta Luccone and Sreevally Medishetti would defeat Benedetta Raggiotti and Margaux Rene 7-5.

The Belles would claim their second point of the match due to Lewis not having enough players to fill out a full lineup.

Ivet Stancehva defeated Avelynn Wen 6-0, 6-2 to give the Rambelles a 3-0 advantage.

Jessica Li defeated Sofia Vdoychenko 6-3, 6-2 to clinch the victory for the Rambelles.
