Greenwood, IND - A mainstay in the Angelo State women's tennis lineup, Eva Schwartz was named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-American second team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
In her final season of eligibility, Eva Schwartz was named the Lone Star Conference Academic Player of the Year. During her playing career, Schwartz earned two All-American honors, one during the 2023-2024 season, finishing in the top ten in doubles play with an 18-5 record, and her second this season when she was named a CSC Academic All-American.
Schwartz earned her bachelor's degree in International Business and then earned her master's degree in Business Administration.
The graduate student from L'isle-Sur-La-Sorgue, France, has earned multiple awards throughout her lustrous career. In her first year at Angelo State, Schwartz was named an honorable mention in singles play for her 17-11 record. In the 2022-2023 season, Schwartz was named to the All-LSC Second Team Doubles with her 20-3 record and was also named to the Sportsmanship team and Honorable Mention Singles team.
During the 2023-2024 season, Schwartz led the Rambelles to their first appearance in the Division II Tennis Championships. Schwartz was also a part of the team that earned the 2023-2024 LSC Academic Champions honor for having the highest team GPA. Schwartz would also record her first All-American award of her career, finishing within the top ten in doubles with partner Avery Durham. Defeating multiple nationally ranked doubles teams throughout the year earned Schwartz All-LSC First Team doubles with an 18-5 record.
In the 2024-2025 season, Schwartz would once again be recognized as part of the first team doubles team for her 14-4 doubles record. Schwartz would be recognized as the LSC Academic Player of the Year for the first time in her career. Schwartz would then go on to be named to the CSC All-American Second Team.
Schwartz would cement herself as one of the best women's tennis players in Angelo State history.
