SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts will host a new exhibition open to the public from Oct. 18 to Feb. 23, 2025.
According to a press release from SAMFA, the "Plein Air Landscape: Selections from the Permanent Collection," inspired by French impressionists like Claude Monet, Childe Hassam and Frank Reaugh, will contain about 40 works from the museum's permanent collection. The works trace back to "en plein air," or outside open-air painting, that began in Europe, specifically France, in the 19th century.
SAMFA added that a Free Family Day will be held on Oct. 19, including free admission to view the exhibition and family-friendly activities. For more information regarding the exhibition, visit www.samfa.org.
